Traditional coker batch processes involves hours of manual work, exposing operators to elevated levels of risk. C&I can help increase the safety of your operators and decrease overall coking batch times with an upgrade to automatic coke drum unheading valves.

Increased Operator Safety:
With the push of a button, operators can safely open or close the coke drum from a remote location.

Decreased Batch Cycle Time:
With the ease of automatic operation, wrenching of flange bolts to open and close the coke drum has been eliminated. Now it takes only minutes to do what used to take hours.

Typically, the greatest challenge facing this new technology is engineering the new valve to fit onto an existing coker. That is where C&I comes into play. We can provide the engineering necessary to take your current coker to the next level.  C&I is leading the way implementing this technology. Our expertise will help ensure on-time installation during your next turnaround.

In April of 2009, C&I successfully engineered the placement of ten unheading valves onto a 60 year old coking unit, all ahead of schedule.
