The objective of this project is to provide the modifications necessary to bring the Fluid Catalytic Cracking Unit into compliance with the current draft of the Safety Instrumented Systems Standards and the basic practice for FCCUs. C&I provided the Safety Requirements Specification (SRS) for the existing FCCU. The Safety Instrumented System included the addition of safety instruments to the existing FCCU process and interfacing them to an existing Triconex safety control system for emergency alarming and shutdown. Power and Controls scope included instrument specification, instrument installation details, I/O diagrams, loop diagrams, raceway plans, grounding, heat trace, demolition drawings, and a construction scope of work. C&I provided for implementation of SIS devices on the Balanced Draft Heater.
